Cellulite is fat that pushes through the thousands of tiny holes in the connecting tissues found in the fibers you can’t see underneath your skin. The first stage is where blood vessels have become strained and damaged due to not enough circulation, fat deposits, or not enough nutrients to be healthy. The result is that both collagen and elastin begin to break down allowing fat cells to cluster together. In stage two the appearance of cellulite is present because the damage from stage one has moved up to the layer of skin called the dermis. The skin may have a look similar to an orange peel in stage 2. Use a suitable cellulite cream or perform regular exercises to rid cellulite.
During stage 3 the production of new collagen and elastin is extremely slowed down. This means the damage continues but the power to fight it off with products from the body is diminishing. This allows the processes of stage 1 to occur very quickly now. The texture of the skin is much worse now. With the final stage of cellulite the septa hardens allowing you to be able to feel the hard nodules underneath the skin. In extreme cases the areas where cellulite has formed can become painful and tender to the touch. Cellulite makes the skin appear to have lumps and be uneven instead of smooth looking. It is a misconception that only overweight people have cellulite. Many skinny people have cellulite as well. While cellulite is mainly found on females a small percentage of males as experience it. Women who have had children are often able to get back to their pre-pregnancy weight, but the cellulite many remain due to the softening of the cells during the pregnancy and due to increased hormone levels.
Many people aren’t happy with the appearance of cellulite which generally stays on the legs, thighs, hips, and butt. With a proper diet, the right exercises, skin care and removing toxins, you can definitely reduce the amount of cellulite on your body.
